Being the inaugural competition, the competition was held on a single, open category. The entries were judged by an independent panel of eminent IT and design media professionals on the following parameters:
Abhisek Shrestha (edunepal.com), WWW 2003 shakes hand with Mercantile CEO Sanjib Rajbhandari.š Kiran Awal (bm.com.np), gets the award icon for Best Content Category from Nepali Times editor, Kunda Dixit. Shrijit Rajbhandari (idontlikethisite), First runner up gets award icon from Wave editor, Tendon. Shivendra Patrabansh (latitude-23.com) getting his prize for Category award, Visual Appeal.
